Would Apple Genius Bar deal with this?

Hi all,
My iPhone is playing up and keeps displaying a message saying it hasn't been backed up in x amount of weeks as I am running out of iCloud storage, and asking me to purchase more.
I have deleted all email messages etc, and have actually changed some setting that means my email is not coming through on my Mac anymore.
Would Apple genius bar help with this or is that more for hardware issues?
Thanks

Deleting emails will only free up space if you have an @mac.com/me.com/icloud.com email address. Otherwise if you have something like a Yahoo/Hotmail/BT etc... emails aren't even backed up to iCloud (just the connection settings).
The easiest thing to do is just buy more storage... it's only 79p per month for 20GB which is enough for most iPhones.
Otherwise try this...Tap Settings > iCloud.
If you're using iOS 8 or later, tap Storage > Manage Storage.
If you're using an earlier version of iOS, tap Storage & Backup > Manage Storage.
Tap the name of your iOS device.
Under Backup Options, turn off any apps that you don't want to back up. When you're asked to confirm, choose Turn Off & Delete to turn off Backup for that app and remove all of its data from iCloud.
Genius bar will help with this, as will AppleCare if you call them (they don't charge support fees for iCloud issues)0 -

Ah, thank you! Didn't realise it was only 79p a month.
I just thought maybe something had changed as with the software update it deleted a lot of my photos so I don't even have as many photos now.
Will purchase the extra, thank you.

Before you do check your storage as above, You only need to backup what's only on the phone and unique. There may no point backing up your Email as typically its only on your phone a while then gets downloaded to your main PC.
I have two phones and an ipad all happily fitting in the 5GB apple supply free.0 -
Can't you back up to a computer for free?0

Thank you, I am unsure what I have done. Photos aren't being transferred from phone>Mac, and emails are not coming to Mac anymore, just iPhone.
I hate Apple :rotfl:

Calm, it was a sarcastic tongue in cheek comment.
I do think Apple make their products insanely complex to use though. I don't see the need in photos I take with my phone being transferred to my Mac automatically, especially when I then delete them from the phone and they don't delete from the computer...
iTunes is a whole other thread... :rotfl:
