cat litter recommendations ?

Do any of you have a particularly favourite cat litter that you'd be happy to recommend ?
At the moment, we are using Cat San & have in the past tried Cat's best clumping. With four cats now, it's terribly expensive, so I'd be really interested to hear some views on a good, but not too expensive litter? We'd ideally be looking for a clumping, natural litter that we could flush but that effectively deodorised nasty niffs !
TIA

I know some litters say they are flushable but really nothing like that should be flushed down the loo...
I use Golden White from zooplus:
http://www.zooplus.co.uk/esearch.htm#q=golden%20grey
Free delivery on orders over £29.00
I normally get 2 bags for £19.00 and they last me a whole month with 4 cats so work out at £5.00 per cat per month which is a great price. I only do a full litter change once every 2 weeks. Just fill it in really deep (I split a whole bag between 2 very large trays and that lasts 2 weeks), scoop daily and do a complete change every 2 weeks when the liter gets very low.
Very fine litter, clumps brilliantly, no smell.
EDIT - just realised you too have 4 cats so it would cost you £20.00 per month for litter for all 4, same as me.
I have 2 of those which my 4 happily share - I empty one bag of the above litter between those 2 massive trays:

GR - while I totally share your love of GG
Can you remember how much better it was than Biokats?
10% / 20% / 50% .... 100%!
I really need to get litter but am pretty hard up atm
I've been waiting for GG to come on offer (usually only happens twice a year) AND it is
BUT they've done the savings against buying only one bag so you're only saving £1 compared to the economy packs
Biokats is on offer - and it's about £6 cheaper ... which is quite a lot
I can remember loving BK - until I tried GG
I think it was the clumping ?????Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I buy Tesco Low Dust Lighweight Cat Litter for my cat. Someone in the house is asthmatic, so this helps as I find other cat litters to be dusty.0

From what I remember there wasn't much difference.
(shooting myself as ordered 4 bags of GG last week - typical)0 -

Never tried this so no idea....
I think I was not too keen on the fragrancing of the Biocat.. ermmm can not remember.
Also, wasn't GG always cheaper than Biocat?
scratching head, again...
Basically they were both as good.. can nto remember what the difference was.. old age etc etc
any idea how long is it going to be on offer?
could get some tomorrow to be honest... knowing my luck there wont be any left lol0 -

Ta ... I didn't think there was .....
From memory, I think if you gave GG 9/10 for things like tracking, clumping etc, then the BK would maybe have got 8.5/10 so it was just very slightly not quite as good ......
When the price is say £1 or £2 then it's def worth paying the extra for the GG ..... but when it's nearly £6 I'm not quite so sure
I think I will order some BK (£13.48 for 2 x 14L - which from memory the bags were the same weight as the 14kg GG ones!)
I've held off & held off but I really need to get some - I've even had to raid one of the 2 bags I keep in the 'emergency bin' (which I may well use now & replace with BK which would leave me with 1 more GG to use)

Ahhhh I used to get the one you'd linked to - I just thought they'd changed the packaging
BK used to be cheaper when I got it - only a few £s though
I certainly wouldn't pay the same for it as GG
I wonder what the difference between the one on offer & the other one is (apart from the bag!)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

You do that girl, you do nto want to get bladder problems - holding for too long hahahaha
Will see if they still have it tomorrow
The different packaging worries me a bit as I remember the Tigerino disaster when lots of us from here went psycho on the offer and then could wait for the damn thing to finish hahaahh
There was one of the Biopcats that I did not like as it had big granules and did not clump well at all but I believe it was the green packaged one0 -
Shhhhhh - the 't' word was never to be mentioned again!
(OMG I can still remember how awful it was and it must be a good 2-3 years ago! Remember the cement in the bottom of the trays )
Reading the reviews of the BK on offer there appears to be one GG user who rates it OK ..... *sigh* - not sure what to do
Don't really need anything apart from litter - so getting 2 lots of the BK would take me just under the free delivery limit & easy to get a couple of treats for a couple of £s - whereas 1 lot of GG still leaves me over £10 to fill to get there:(.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
