flight delay compensation

My flight was delayed 24 hours (Emirates) in Feb 2008. I used the template to register a claim and received an email back saying they could only go back 6 years. The trouble is I dont have any flight references etc as it was 6 years ago. Do I still have a claim? I am 64 years old and not very computer savvy!!!!

    No compensation will be paid as your delay was in excess of 6 years ago.

    If the airline has rejected claim then that is the end of the matter.
    The option would normally to go to court next but the limit for this is 6 years in England and Wales and 5 years in Scotland so, as your flight was over 6 years ago you just need to move on and forget about it
