Hi, any help appreciated...

My partner and I are looking to take a 7 night holiday, departing Manchester between 30th August and 3rd September. We are looking for an adult only hotel if possible, and like the idea of the Greece or Cyprus. Ideally four/five star.

So far we have found the following:

Thomsons, fly to Heraklion from Manchester 30th August.
7 nights half board at The Island Hotel, Gouves.
£1264 total.

Seems like a good deal? Any other options that leap out?

Quoted £2624 for 2 adults and 1 child (aged 15 ) to stay at H10 Salou
Princess Hotel in Salou Costa Dorada for 2 weeks on 24th July 2013.The hotel is 4 star and holiday is with Thomson. Holiday is half board flying from Cardiff,no in flight meals.Can anyone beat this quote?
