Can't believe how much flight prices seem to be up to Florida or US!

looking to take my girls - Wife & 2 Children 4 & 8 to Florida for a summer break.

We had a budget of £2k for the flights and we have accomodation and car sorted.

I would prefer to go Friday 20th August until Sunday 5th Sept from manchester to Tampa or Orlando or even better Sarasota Bradenton but I think the best I am going to do is what I have been quoted on.

Thursday 19th for 2 weeks flying Thomas Cook on a crap plane with 29" seats and no TV's in head rests for £2196 with no luggage, No meals! I am told you can pay for one bag at the airport rather than 4 online.

HELP!! if you can!

I've been quoted £414 per person for 5 star all inclusive for 7 nights at the Ambiente Palace Hotel in Corfu on the 14th August from Bristol. (for 2 persons) The quote is from Broadway Travel. Annoyingly quotes for the week after are much lower and quotes for this particular week were much lower before I could afford to book a holiday!

I'm able to travel between the 14th and 18th of August from either Bristol or Cardiff and aiming to get a holiday like this or similar for around £300. Any help would be much appreciated!
