Happy to return from any NYC airport and preference is for an evening flight on the 20th

Not sure if I can ask this here - but if anyone specifically works for Thomson ?

I'm confused over a price differential

This is an online booking where ALL parameters are the same with 1 exception in each of 2 cases - Departure airport OR Accommodation

It's basically 4 persons going to Marmaris self-catering for 14 nights leaving on Thursday June 3rd

HOWEVER ....

Flight A (Birmingham) --->>> Apartments A - £292 per person
Flight A (Birmingham) --->>> Apartments B - £307 per person

Flight B (East Midlands) --->>> Apartments B - £307 per person
Flight B (East Midlands) --->>> Apartments A - £365 per person :eek:

Obviously we want to fly from East Midlands and stay in Apartments A

..BUT it's £73 MORE EACH than if we fly from Birmingham.

Yet if we stayed at Apartments B we could fly from either airport for the same price ...

.. but to go to Apartments A instead - we would actually be sitting in THE SAME SEATS on either flight as we would to go to Apartments B

For £292 (4 x £73) we will get someone to take us to Birmingham instead of East Midlands - about 30 miles further and will take around an hour - instead of 10 miles and the 15 minutes to our REALLY LOCAL airport.

Any ideas regards the PRICE HIKE for the same seats on a plane JUST because you've changed where you want to stay ?

At the moment this does not include car hire but I can taylor make the holiday myself (expedia, etc) and get car hire included for the same total price. Can anyone beat this price???? Hotels are flexible. In addition I am happy to pay the same (even more) if other things are included such as different board/food, in-flight meals etc...
