TALK TALK and FTP uploads

why on earth can't I upload my files to my web site. Works for 30 seconds then disconnects for a day. Is this a case of TalkTalk throttling the FTP port. (stopping you uploading data)
anyone else have this problem?

They're certainly not throttling uploads on the standard port 21 for FTP, or for SSH, rsync or via standard port 80. I upload files to my website (not TalkTalk hosted) all the time, most averaging 250MB+ and get a solid 25-30kb/s.
Which program are you using for the upload? which host? Can you copy files directly using Internet Explorer? If you have firefox installed, I use the add-on FireFTP (free) for my FTP needs although usually I use rsync via cygwin (unix host via SSH).
H.Know me for who I am, not for who I say I am.0
