            This was in my current house when I moved in and the first thing I did was have central heating installed and the hot air system ripped out -in fact now that you mention it I didn't even bother to check if it worked or not before having it removed.
There is one obvious drawback to having it taken out though and that is that in almost every room in my house I still have the air vents where the air entered into the rooms which look kinda stupid now so I'll have to have those removed and the resulting holes patched over before I sell the house -something to bear in mind.0 -

The ducting might have been useful if you'd wanted an air to air heat pump.
I'm not clear if Melykins has something like that, as air conditioning in summer is mentioned.
There seem to be plenty of people who like these systems anyway.0
