BT Sport Charges

Just a note to anyone coming to the end of your BT Broadband contract. If you have free BT Sports in this package when your broad band contract ends they will start charging you for it, with out notice. you then have to either renew the contract or give 30 days notice to cancel it.

I still get BT Sports for free. BT customers who were with BT before the sports channels were introduced were permitted free HD for 12 months; there-after they were charged £3 a month. I just cancelled the HD, once the 12 months were up, and was not asked to renew my contract.0 -

Yes, I've just been caught out by BT and their sneaky BT Sport tactics.I moved to Sky for broadband, phone and tv on 1st Sept (my BT contract expired on 16th Sept). Suddenly today I get a bill for BT Sport for £16.40 from BT. After being passed from pillar to post I finally got through to cancellations but I will have to pay £16.40 plus £13.50 to cancel. Never going back to BT after this and I'd been a customer for years! :mad:0 -
They are not keen to cancel either. I renewed my broadband so am entitled to have it (non HD) for free. I asked them to switch it off because I don't watch it and don't want to have to remember to cancel or be charged next year. The man I spoke to whilst friendly and efficient simply could not understand why I didn't want it at £0 per month.0
