you did nifty & i thankyou , its just that i did not know how to follow the instructions given to me , as i am useless & unsure , but i do thankyou for your advice.

If you can read English, you can follow a guide.
If you can't, then why are you asking here anyway?

You have to try or you won't get anywhere.

What is the brand name and model number of your TV/Monitor?

    Install the correct drivers then

    hi.
surely the drivers are correct if i am watching sky go on my notepad, or am i missing something.

like i say ,when in ireland the last thing i tried with the notepad disconnected from the tv, was to right click on the blankscreen & prove that i had the option to monitor/notepad & it did do just that.
When i tried this at home it does not give me these options to link the tv.

    hi nifty.
Believe it or not i think i have come alongway since i did a silly thing & totally wiped my notepad clean, i am now watching all the sky programs etc that sky go have on offer , before that i lost everything & missed the tour de france , spain , & all host of other things , so believe me i am happy that i can watch these things now on my notepad & tonight & all week will watch the 6 day track racing live on eurosport2 , fantastic, so at the moment i want to lose nothing with my lack of knowledge on fiddling with the notepad.
Like i say in ireland , i was watching it on a monitor , & when i disconnected from the monitor & right clicked on the blank screen the proper options that i require were still there , on my return , no such luck , remember i have been watching on my HANNSPREE tv with no problems untill i wiped it clean & started again.
i only use the notepad for general use & i use a ipad for more secure useage.
thanks for the telling off, but i still appreciate your help.

I don't know what to tell you. I'm going to suggest that you wipe it clean again...but perhaps this time you will listen to me, rather than to fiddle around by yourself. If you are frightened of losing everything, then someone else should advise you.

That was brand name and model number. ;) You really should pay attention. That way you'll be able to follow more easily.
I'm not telling you off, but when it comes to these things, you need to be exacting.
No time for blah, blah. Just information. It's weeks later and we don't even know what TV you are using or how you have connected to Netbook to the TV.
Are you still running XP? Did you run a Factory Restore?
