blocking calls to orange samsung d500

can anyone please help and advise on how i can block calls to my samsung d500 from a specific number. please need urgently

I know you can block from withheld numbers quite easily by phoning your network. Would that help? If you know the number you can always not answer...?

i know the number but need to get it blocked as it will just distress me can't go into the reason do you think it be better to contact orange

They will certainly know what you can and can't do, other than that your other option will be to change your number. Good luck. This sort of thing is always distressing.

If the calls from the number are distressing you you could aways see if Orange can do anything by raising the fact that this caller is harassing you.

There are programs such as Advanced Call Manager, BackList, etc that can block specific numbers, witheld numbers and even block at specific cell locations. The above two work on the Symbian platform so may not work on the Samsung but you could always look for alternatives. Most give you either a certain number of days or certain number of calls to try the software, which could work as a short term solution.

Although I might add that once the number is blocked they could always withold their number so you might want to block these are well. Bear in mind though that if your mobile is your prime point of contact, blocking witheld numbers will also block a lot of legit companies calling from behind PBX or switchboard systems.
