Seems to be entirely his problem.
The only exception is for <14yos.

My MIL does not put a belt on by default in the back. I find a little spirited driving soon changes her mind.
Same here, Forget to put your belt on in my car and you wont forget again. Pull away sharply with lots of steering lock and i have had people go from one side of the car to the other.
Its not dignified peeling yourself off the door/window it seems and they always remember after that.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Get your relative's GP to issue an exemption certificate, that way nobody gets done.Quick question. Relative with Alzheimer's who keeps taking rear seatbelt off while I'm driving. Would it be me being prosecuted, as he lacks capacity? (And yes I'm looking at ways to sort it, not just leaving him to it.)
A couple of years ago I had to collect a friend from hospital after major surgery (bowel) and he obviously wasn't wearing one for the journey home due to obvious reasons.
His oncologist signed and dated the certificate "until further notice" so regular renewal wasn't necessary.
Come to think of it, he was probably in more danger by being laid across the rear seat for the journey home as that was the only way he could support himself with any type of comfort.
As with all things though, pay attention to the job and most of the risk is soon distinguished.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -

Like the majority of people who have answered, everyone who gets in my car wears a seat belt and appropriate car seat/booster as necessary in front and back, no excuses.0 -

Why on earth would someone choose not to wear a seat belt?0
