Now I know what most people will say is to do it myself.

No. With all the procrastination that goes on in my life it would never get done.

We have an average sized three bedroom house.

How much should a window cleaner cost?

I pay £36 inside and out for one go.

If this is extortionate then of course i will have to find out the easiest way to do it and do it myself.
I'd never let a window cleaner clean the inside of my windows, I have too many plants on the windowsills. ;)

We pay £7.50 once a month.

That is for 12 windows and 2 doors, 2 of the windows are 10 foot wide.

He does most of the houses round us in 2 separate rounds.
  • I pay £5.50. Only does the outside of the house. 9 windows and front & back doors. He comes every 3 months, and does a good job. Has been doing the windows for me for past 8-9 years. And other window cleaners are around £7-£8+ for doing the same amount

4 bed house- semi 8 windows plus patio doors - pay £6.50 every month. Mum has a large 4 bed detatched house - pays £15 for outsides (monthly) and £20 for insides ( every 3 months).
My window cleaner won't do inside.

Yes karcher is excellent . I clean condensation from the front door window as that is not double glazed. Conservatory inside glass roof get cleaned using it and no running water down my arms.I cleaned the bathrooms tiles with it, sometimes clean shower door but i squeezey that door every day after a shower.
I would buy one when on offer

My stepdad does inside and outside and from about £12 upwards depending on size of house/windows.
He also does fascias and gutterings.. just ring around someone will do it cheaper!

Needless to say my mother does them herself and mine don't get done.. ever

Karcher window Vac - yes I shall have to get one. It would pay for itself in two window cleaning sessions.
  • West Yorkshire - £8 every couple of months. He uses the long hose method, but can't reach our top storey (it's a 4 storey house). I do the insides myself.

He also offers carpet and gutter cleaning,
No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...
