Now I know what most people will say is to do it myself.
No. With all the procrastination that goes on in my life it would never get done.
We have an average sized three bedroom house.
How much should a window cleaner cost?
I pay £36 inside and out for one go.
If this is extortionate then of course i will have to find out the easiest way to do it and do it myself.

As far as I know window cleaners don't clean the windows inside the house (certainly none of them round by me).
I used to pay £6 to a chap who would turn up when he felt like it (ostensibly every 3 months) and he would do all the windows in my mid-terraced house in 5 minutes flat - it took him longer to carry his ladders up next door's garden and to climb over the fence into my garden to do the rear windows than it did for him to clean them. He no longer cleans the windows.
I have been quoted £8.50 and they come with a hose and extending pole and will not only clean the windows but also the frames plus if they haven't done a good job and you call them, then they will return and do the job again without an additional charge. This window cleaner never advertises and gets all his work by word of mouth. He will come out every 6 weeks and he will also clean my front door.
There are others who would charge £20 again for using a hose and extending pole but do not guarantee their work.
I guess it also depends on where you are based as to what window cleaners charge.
I do clean my own windows internally - I use two cloths that mum gave me (one I use damp) and the other is used to polish - I think they are called E Cloths and they are very good.0 -
My chap does the outsides of my windows at the front top and bottom and the porch windows (2) and charges me £6.00 once every four weeks If I want him to do the outside of the conservatory at the back he charges an extra £2.00.0

I pay a fiver for a 3 bed semi. It has a small bay window at the front and a conservatory at the back. It costs a fiver for the outside. My friend who had a similar sized house, a few miles from me, used to be charged more. I've found it really depends on your location, as well as how many windows your have.0

£7 here in the South for the front windows (7 of them) only. It used to be a tenner when he did the back as well but now access is difficult so DH does them instead.0

£20  including frames. Quoted £15 by two others who don't do frames.
But I'm in South Bucks which I assume makes a difference!0 -
I'm in Outer London and pay £8 for 7 windows plus 2 doors. There is a group of 3 men who do an excellent job. They sort of work like a tag team, very efficient and don't waste any time! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0

I pay £3.50 to have my bungalow windows cleaned about every 5 weeks.
5 windows and 2 panel front door."When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us" Alexander Graham Bell0 -
We live in a bungalow so clean our own windows:money:0

W epay £8 for our semi with ten windows. He uses the long pole and de-ionised water (which ensures that they dry streak free). He also does the doors.0
