I'm currently wanting to use a old phone which is locked to the orange network, I want to put a Vodafone sim card in, but the phone says restrictions when I do so, I've asked Vodafone who are unable to help and tried pressing the green on key+#+the top sound button, can anyone help, know its a old phone

it wasn't done with a code , it was done with a serial lead plugged into a computer , a lot of the earlier phones were not duel band , ie, there was one phone for voda/cellnet and one for orange/t mobile0

If you go for VF you will be back with a new Thread. So why not go for Sainsbury , Tesco or Lyca they are all goodWhat happens if you push this button?0 -
Tried it several times, unable to get to work on my devise, pressed all 3 buttons together with sim in / out, no success, took phone to independent shop to unlock, his advise good phone, but not worth unlocking, due to Orange software, he could do it £20.00 for software from Orange + his costs0

Ok thanks, does that mean, it cant be unlocked? Without getting and paying Orange for software, been told today by independant shop not worth it, due to the Orange software installed on the devise0

device, not devise
I am no expert, but IMO 'Orange software' is red herring.0 -
Its locked to Orange so why not Contact orange?
When my phones were out of contract Voda would supply the code to unlock them.
Seems they no longer lock contract phones though.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
