Wow. Just caught up on the PePiPoo thread. Nasty bit of commentary there - totally uncalled for, especially aimed at the people really trying to help.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I've just dropped on this thread and whilst I am a regular poster on PPP I have not read the thread and do not have the time to do so now.

I understand that you would like an instant answer but the truth is that there isn't one.

For the moment I suggest that you get less caught up in the number of accusations of speeding there may be and step back. The thing that is likely to cause most grief, in these circumstances, and the point that is most frequently forgotten is the formal notice attached to these documents requiring that the recipient of the form provides details of the driver at the time of the alleged offences - what is known as the s.172 requirement.

Failing to address both of these requirements could see your husband collect 6 points and a fat fine let alone what he may pick up for the allegation of speeding (if he ignores one of the forms). Whether the documents are duplicates or not is irrelevant.

I therefore suggest that your husband replies to both of the forms and supplies the details required - not forgetting to sign them. Mark each form to the effect - "see attached letter"

Put both replies in the same envelope together with a covering letter pointing out that there would seem to have been a duplication and asking for that matter to be addressed. Make copies of all the documents sent and send the envelope by Special Delivery - which will ensure that the envelope has to be signed for and you also get proof of delivery.

I would not waste your time speaking to the police/central ticket office/safety camera partnership as there has been a history of inappropriate advice being given. Keep things in writing.

    Hope that helps.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
