Definitely feeling hard done by today
3 times I have written out a post only to have the forum crash on me and it disappear0 -
and since 6:30 today it has been doing multi-quotes even when I am just quoting a single post.0

and posters showing zero or singles posts when you know they have made multiple postsEx forum ambassador

Today, the reply hangs so you don't know if it's been posted.
So I've been opening MSE again to see my post has been entered in the thread and then closing the hanging reply window.
However, the board isn't updating the thread to show the latest reply, it's still showing the previous last post from last night.
For example;-
Board http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=15
Thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/66847460#Comment_66847460
Hopefully, the board is showing last reply to thread at 11.58 last night, while thread is showing my reply at 5.52 today.
It hasn't happened on this post, strangely.I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Mortgage Adviser Code of Conduct. Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as financial advice. Please do not send PMs asking for one-to-one-advice, or representation.0 -

You will find with the hang problem on posting if you give it about 20 seconds then go back the the original board and click on the thread again, the post will show.
It won't show on the board or any search that you do but it will be on the actual thread you posted it on.
When the server back-up is finished for the day all of a sudden there are a multitude of posts showing on the boards for the period that it was running that were not showing during that period.
The only thing that shows during the slowdown are brand new threads0 -
it is my forlorn hope that the more the slowdown period over-runs, the more people that it will affect and hopefully they will be vocal about it or am I just barking in the wind?0
-
The only good thing about the forum slowdown is that it makes spammers easier to spot as only new threads show up on the forum searches.0
