I feel that I don't need to use a service address because I have a strong case when appealing. My dad recommended providing them with his work address.

If that "strong case" is based on any form of reason or mitigation, then you have lost. That doesn't work with PPCs or appeals.

If the PPC is basing their claim on breach of contract or trespass, then you might win on GPEOL or signage.

If they are basing it on a charge for parking and a contract between driver and PPC for an agreed charge, then you need a specific IPC appeal.

If you go it alone, please let us have a copy of your appeal and the IAS reply in due course, so we can build up our knowledge and help others.
  • As above a "strong case" is normally as much use as a dead cat

The case I have is that the drop-off bay that I parked in had unreadable markings. Had to post the link as below to get around newcomer rules :S

  • Depends on the signage
  • Depends on the signage

The sign was located up on a tree in-between two ordinary bays about 20-30 yards away. Why the sign wasn't put in-between the two drop-off bays is beyond me.

I am not clear exactly what they are claiming you have done to contravene. Is it Parking in a Parent and Child bay or parking without a suitable permit in their car park? Or even anything else?

The entrance sign would be helpful as well,

It's for parking in a 'drop-off zone'. Here is a picture of the sign.
