I'm hoping Noel Fitzpatrick never has to operate on any of mine ;)

    He's one amazing guy though.

Why should he get an MBE? Because he made a TV show about how brilliant he is? There are hundreds of brilliant vets out there who have specialist qualifications and do amazing things everyday. Noel isn't even a recognised specialist and doesn't employ anaesthetists or radiologists. I'd rather take my pet somewhere where the whole team are specialists and have the qualifications to back it up.

Totally agree with the above - there are also many general vets too who are amazing and give their time and knowledge for free.

because of his advancements in the ground breaking surgery especially the limb implants, which if any doctors would look into, it may totally change the lives for people who have prosthetic limbs and problems with them. his obvious dedication, care and pursuit for doing the best for animals.

i don't disagree that there are other vets out there doing good work, and anyone can be nominated for a mbe.

There are indeed hundreds of amazing vets doing superb things everyday,I have one myself (god bless you Lucy)

The fact is that he's set his practice up with the sole aim to deal with conditions other vets won't or can't treat for whatever reason &, by using imagination & innovation, he changes lives.

Does it really matter that he isn't a qualified specialist? Not to the people/pets he's helped.

He's not god & no, he doesn't deserve a MBE but give the guy some credit.

Just to add... I see 2 qualified radiologists listed on his website.

They are human radiographers not specialist veterinary radiologists. I know many vets and vet nurses who can't wait the programme as it makes them cringe. The ways he speaks to clients, makes everything so dramatic and treats members of his team. The procedures he did in this weeks show are done in referral centres all over the country everyday.

    Let's just say....if he's living a lie, he'll be found out!

Then why not make a thread about them? Tell us all about them and people can hope they're nominated for an MBE for their amazing work too.

The fact is he got lucky and got noticed for the work he does. Which landed him a TV show. It's very clear, added drama or not that he is doing groundbreaking work and saving pets lives. That's enough to warrant credit in my book. And we're it all for the cameras the press would very quickly out him as a fraud. Camera or no camera he is an excellent vet. The fact that there are other excellent vets doesn't take away from than fact. He and his staff very clearly know what they're doing.

I couldn't care less if he has Father Christmas and the Easter bunny working for him. And I'm pretty sure the owners of the pets still alive thanks to his knowledge and expertise couldn't either.
