TalkTalk - avoid like ebola.

Just want to share my customer service experience of talktalk with u, so u dont make the same mistake and choose them.

I moved house on the 3rd OCT and told talktalk a month in advance. everything will be setup and internet wil be switched over on day of move, I was told. A few days later, I got an email saying internet will be ready in new house on the 6th....fine I thought, a few days with no internet, ill let them off. Then on the 1st oct, for some reason they decided to cut my internet off in the house I had not yet left, half way through the day whilst I was working from home. I called talktalk and was shuffled between about 7-8 people, all saying oh im sorry we will fix this for u, before transferring me to someone else who went thru all the questions again before transferring me, again. Each person would be polite and promise to solve 'my issue', but would not actually understand the problem correctly. I was told to call from my landline when i said i was unhappy about being on the phone for so long with high mobile charges - er excuse me, youve disconnected my landline. Eventually, I asked for a manager, I shouted at and finally was told "im sorry, we disconnected you early, and u cannot be reconnected". So that will be 5 days with no internet before im up and running in my new house on the 6th. Come the 6th, I have no internet in my new house. I call talktalk, go thru various people, and finally get told, it wil be ready tomorrow, we are sorry. Come the 7th, no internet still. Go through all the calls to various people again, get told to dial a special number. The lady who answered said I needed to call another number. the number she gave me was the same on I just dialled. Eventually, im told to take apart the socket on my wall and test it. I know by now my flat is simply not connected but im told I have to test my socket. After an hour or more on the phone, they say they need to send an engineer out, but no one is available for 8 days. Fast forward 8 days with no internet, talktalk engineer comes out and confirms what I know - the house is not connected. He leaves. 30 mins later, I get a text from talktalk saying "weve fixed your line". They had not. I have to call them again. I am passed between different people again. They say it will take some time, as usual, with each person i have to provide all my details, and explain the problem. 2 days pass, I call again. They don't know when it will be fixed but they are very sorry. Still no idea whats going on, avoid these useless, clueless cowboys like the ebola virus.
