Text ripoffs

Hi all. Help needed. My partner is on contract with Orange. Over the last few months she has started to get text messsages from 3rd party companies many 3 at a time. The content just say they hope she liked the past contents sent to her, a bit meaningless really. Anyhow on checking her bill she's found that every time she gets a text from these companies she gets billed £1.28 for recieving them(over£30 in total so far). Don't forget that they normally send 3 at a time. On contacting Orange they refuse to give her a refund or to look into it telling her she must get refunds direct from the 3rd party companies. I tried to point out that my contract is with them and not the other companies but to no joy. The contact numbers to the companies are all 0871 witch I know will cost me more in the end than what I wanted to reclaim. So what can I do? Any advice gratefully recieved. Orange custer support sucks!
Cheers SnapperF5

Reply to the number with (in capitals) STOP. You should get a text back saying that you've successfully unsubscribed from their service - this will stop the texts.

Orange are in the right though, They havent sent the texts so have no legal requirement to refund you any money that is owed.
The best thing to do is contact the company that have sent you the text and inform them they have sent you unsolicited texts and if they dont refund you in 7 working days you will report them to ofcom.
Just out of interest to see if i can help you, whats the company name?
