The cheapest Zafira I can make on the Vauxhall config page is £19250, unless I'm missing something.

Yeah, using the configurator. List-price, essentially.
If the P/E price is that much lower, sell it privately.0 -

I think DoctorFoster hit the nail on the head with the price for my current car. It's in average condition but with a full service history and long mot. The price Northern Motors offered was £2000, but even glasses guide says I should be offered over £3000 for a poor condition car, (no mot, no service history). Private I'm looking at £3,500 ish.
I won't be taking any extras, the car we're buying is absolute minimum spec, (only wanted air con and a cd player), but from the offer they've made on my current car that's where they appear to be building in a negotiation margin.
I suppose my real question is how do I get them to pay the going price for my car, (part ex price). How to negotiate that?
Find another dealer doing it for 10 grand.
The fact it's 1000 cheaper than other is because they've taken the 1000 off your trade. Remember what I said about true cost?
They don't have to take and don't want your car. The thing to do to get the best return is pay 10k cash for the car sell yours private for its true value and if that is 3k the zafira cost you 7k instead of the proposed 8.0 -

Get a price for your car from We buy any car.
That will be your rawest trade price and your local dealer should be hitting higher than that.
Whats the details of your car - i could give you my view on what its worth (ex motor trade)0 -

You are missing something. This will be the original Zafira at £9995 not the new Zafira Tourer.
Also, it will be 1.8 or 1.6 petrol.
Good enough engine, though slightly underpowered in 1.6 format in a Zafira.0 -
Theres a few other dealers doing the same deal.
would be worth contacting them

The exclusiv is 1.8 from other sites but well worth the op checking it's not the 1.6 as well as being underpowered fuel economy isn't good.0 -
Take it from a current Vauxhall owner, ignore the list prices, they are high to trick people into taking out the 5 year 0% interest finance.
£9999 for a Zafira sounds amazing, until you realise some dealers have been selling these for as low as £9300, they've been floating around the £9k-£11k range for about two years or so. Do a search on HotUKDeals for Zafira and you will see previous ones.
It's still a good price as long as it qualifies for the life time warranty (100,000 miles), just remember it's an old model now and don't let them stiff you too badly on part-ex prices.
Also worth getting a quote from the likes of WeBuyAnyCar to compare.0 -
