Just seen this since i put up my last post. Interesting reading and i think i will ask for a VAT invoice now and see what they come up with. I suspect they will just reply with another letter similar to the above!

If you do, then be sure to advise them that they are breaking the law as well. From June this year, 084 and 087 numbers are not allowed for customer services and the number on the letter you have received is an 0845 number, which costs money to call from a mobile.

If their other documents also have this number, then their letters are breaking the law.

Very good point. We had to change all our numbers at work because of this!

If you are up for it and the VAT invoice thing, it would be most interesting to see what they reply. Probably "become like a Christmas Turkey", but still all info is helpful for our work here.

I agree, you've done enough and their statement that 'the Cancellation Provisions in those Regs don't apply to this contract' is wishful thinking on the part of the IAS/IPC (sorry Mr Hurley - I don't agree). The Regs apply to all contracts after 13th June 2014 except those specifically noted as exempt (which I am sure you've all read, as I have...!) and even if the cancellation provisions are found by a Court not to apply - never tested yet re a PPC contract - then PCM have still failed to provide the geographical addresses and phone numbers that the same Regs demand, following EU Directives.

Harni you can bombard them with all you like or just wait and see and put your points before a real Judge if ever PCM decide to try. Normally they will crawl back under their stone and just send a flurry of debt collector drivel junk mail. I would get on with life and have a chuckle at them! Keep all letters and let us know if you get a Letter before Claim from Gladstones (looks like it's from Mr Hurley himself, but in fact it costs PCM just £2.50 for this template letter) or actual court papers which we'll happily help you to defend.

Mr Hurley if you are reading these threads about these latest IAS decisions, are you proud that your friends at the IAS don't know the difference between 'implied consent' from a sign, and 'express consent' as required by the EU Directive? And proud that they couldn't answer the point about the Regs, called it 'novel' then said they won't believe it till they see it in case law (LOLOLOL...rattled!!!).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hi All,
Hope everyone has had a good christmas and new year!
On the 11/12/14 i received a letter from Debt recovery plus "demanding" payment. As advised, this was filed under ignore and today they have sent me another letter titled "Notice of intended court action". Now, it does say basically that if ignored it will be passed onto the creditors solicitors. I just wanted to confirm that this letter will be the one that CM refers to from Gladstones and I'm still ok at the moment to carry on as i am?

    Thanks all!

No, it ain't the letter from Gladstones referred to by C-M. Keep ignoring.
