Woohoo! Finally got to the £5 payout level on Swagbucks so that has been swiftly requested! Seriously need the help if I'm going to have any chance of meeting my £5 per day challenge! Although I have been wondering if I can count the money from the lodger now?

What a difference a bit of sun can make! OH has been out in the garden all weekend and I've helped where I can without getting in the way! So nice to feel a bit of progress again, even though it still looks like a building site, we've managed to clear away quite a bit of the rubbish so at least it's a tidy building site! :rotfl:

Finally posted some things on Gumtree to attempt to get a few pennies in, no interest yet though. Put some roof tiles on there for £20 but if they don't go by next weekend, I'll put them on there for free I think as it will save us having to pay to get rid of them and OH wants the space. He's been looking out for free/cheap stone to build the garden wall with and has got quite a pile now! Luckily there was some in the front garden wall which he's now demolished and moved the stone round the back, although it will all need cleaning up.

Managed to get myself to ParkRun on Saturday and was determined not to think about my time but focus on my posture and staying relaxed. However, of course then I was disappointed with my time! But it was definitely the easiest and most relaxed I've been whilst running - probably because I was going so slow!

In money news - popped to parents on Saturday to borrow their jet wash and dad gave me the contents of their change jar which is about £34! He's bagged some of it up so I will take it to the bank in dribs and drabs when I'm going as they're funny about taking lots in one go! Must put in my car so I can pop in with some if I pass a bank. Also finally money has changed to payable in TCB! So that's £44.85 requested and will use £44.07 to pay off the holiday as I got it for booking the holiday. We did use the lodgers money to pay for tipping of the dirt etc this weekend so the decision was made for as to what to use this money for! But as the house pot is empty we wouldn't have been able to make so much progress without it, so I don't mind. Plus lodger spent a couple of hours yesterday burning some of the scrap wood which was in the garden, so at least that gets rid of it for free! He said he'll do the rest today as well.

Ok so I had a call about a training contract that I applied for last year offering me an interview! I've spent the last 2 days debating what to do as I'm due to start my new job in just over a week and it's not in my nature to mess people around. However I decided that as the interview isn't for another 4 weeks, I agreed to the interview as it gives me a chance to get a taste of the new job before the interview and so giving myself more time to make a decision. I can always have the interview but it doesn't mean I have to take the job, should I be fortunate enough to be offered it. I just feel like the new job is a really exciting step forward, and although a training contract is what I need to finally have the "label" of being qualified. Oh I don't know! But at least now I have time to think about it!

In money news, TCB money hit the bank account so I used £44.07 to pay down the holiday which means we (well mainly me!) have paid off over half the holiday already! My OH is on track to clear his half before it's due.

Also I paid £20 of the bagged change from my parents into the bank today. I will shortly be shuffling off to pay it off the CC which will mean my total debt is then under £1,500!!!! :j

Wow I haven't been around for a while!

New job is going really well, really happy at the moment. Plus my boss seems pleased with my work. It is going to cost £84 a month to park but that is covered by the payrise I got. Plus I'm meeting a friend in town next week and so wont have to pay to park! So that claws back about £2!

Been paying bits and pieces off the CC so its now down to £1,320.19. Can't wait to get it under £1k. Actually just cant wait to get it gone so then I can focus more on getting the house finished!

I'm sure there's more to report but cant think right now!

Oh wow! I haven't been on here in too long and come back to some lovely messages!

However - I am here to confess my sins! But firstly - yes AleMrsT, I came back from holiday last week and had my 30th birthday whilst I was there!

Good news - I have paid a teeny sum off my Hfax CC - a measely £176.53! I have also continued to overpay my mortgage by £100 a month - so that's an extra £1,000 gone off that! That's it for good news on the money front I'm afraid... read on if you dare!!!!

Bad news - due to me being disorganised I forgot to make my minimum payment on my interest free CC meaning they are now charging me interest! But that is the least of my sins!

We decided to crack on and decorate the living room as were growing extremely tired of living in a building site. However to do this I borrowed £1,000 from my parents which I will start paying back next pay day. We also got the sofa on finance - it interest free but disappointed that I've added back to the debts.

In the build up to holiday and on holiday I spent a "bit" on my CC which I will aim to pay off this month and next - total of £552.14.

I'm hoping I haven't forgotten any other "oops" moments! And that you guys can stop me going further off track! On the bright side its almost two years since my LBM and I'm a lot better off than I was before! Also I applied for a CC balance transfer this morning and was accepted! Also I'm loving my "not-so-new" job and my bosses are amazing!

Right must catch up on what's been going on since I've been awol!
