Flu Jab

I'm sure you can have it if you ask for it. Maybe there's a small fee, I don't know. At any rate it's worth asking your GP about.
GPs can't give it, even privately, if you're not in one of the "at risk" groups.
On the other hand, you're supposed to be able to buy it at select branches of Boots (i.e. not through a doctor). Last time I looked, they listed it as £12 a shot.0 -
Apparently if you download the boots app you get it cheaper - for a fiver or so. Worth checking out. I'm tempted this year having just got over that nasty cold...0

I've been getting the flu jab for years now. I'm asthmatic. Wouldn't not get it as my chest is bad enough as it is without taking the risk of not getting it.
Never had a reaction apart from soreness around the injection site. One year it hurt for near a week afterwards. But I put that down to the nurse being a right b***h and more concerned about my weight than what she was doing :mad:Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

Ours got it last year too and had theirs 2 weeks ago, no problems for the kids with the nasal spray and better than the jag my youngest had to get every year due to his asthma.
You can get it free too if you work in a hospital from your employer. As with every flu jab it only works against a certain strain of flu and doesn't make you immune to other strains.I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0
