I mentioned to her about sending a courier and she asked me for the measurements of the hoover, which I sent and she said it's not coming up in the system so she can't send the courier? So I'm just going to go to post office with the hoover!! lol and then if they don't reimburse me etc then go to ASA2019 wins- Box of brownies,0

Totally ridiculous that you should have to drag this sweating to the post office. I'm not even sure they would take it.
Surely they have a carrier they use for "large and bulky " items.
I wouldn't be letting this one go. Did they put the win through as an order ?? and is the return address the same as the usual one used for returns ?? If that was the case I'd be inclined to change tact and contact the returns number for very customers. See if they can help.. She clearly doesn't like being challenged and is making it as awkward for you as possible.

You should go and post about this on Facebook, not going to look good for them.0

I would contact her and say that in view of Very's lack of helpfulness you regretfully feel you have to contact the ASA for help.0

Don't even think about lugging it to the PO.
As above, this should be an order that has been cost-adjusted to be free, and you should have return labels etc.
It's time to ask to speak to someone else who knows about the return process/ordering. Do you have any paperwork? Any phone number on it? If not, try FB where companies are often helpful. If not, go to ASA for help.Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!0 -
Totally agree, you should not be busting your !!! taking it to the PO. This woman is being totally unreasonable and she just has the hump on because you have challenged the prize sent. In my book that is totally unprofessional and she should be named and shamed, starting with their FB/Twitter page. Definitely speak to their returns department who will no doubt be a damn sight more helpful.0

Hi guys thanks for the input , I sweated it out to the post office and paid £30 postage just as I was getting nowhere with her , if she doesn't reimburse me then I will go straight to ASA . She should get Hoover back Thursday/ Friday latest so will see what happens from there!!! Thanks again for all your help2019 wins- Box of brownies,0

And I think the whole postage thing is different as to what you'd get if you ordered from very direct as the order was not through 'Very ' the woman sent it direct to me from her office (some sort of marketing company ) , as comp was through the 'Very blog' which is also why it makes me think they never intended on sending the correct one out in the first place :-/2019 wins- Box of brownies,0
