Different prize sent?

I was sent a WEM at the beginning of the week saying I had won a Dyson on the Very blog which I was super happy about!

So received a hoover today and I got sent a different model to the one stated worth about half the price?

Should I email them? Don't know what to do ! Lol

    I'd contact them first to see what they say, try Facebook or Twitter perhaps.

    They can usually alter the prize, as stated in the terms, but the alternative has to be of the same value.
    I didn't actually read the terms on this comp but they're all pretty standard in this respect.

    thanks they are both Dysons just one is worth £200 , the one I was meant to be sent is worth £430 and the cheaper one I got sent is not even available on their website and the one I was meant to be sent has high stock so thought it was a bit weird

    I emailed and got a response back of sorry for the mixup are you happy to keep that one or do you want to change it? Just as they are very similar models

    errr not very similar in price!!!!! think I'll change it thanks!!!

    ok sorry to keep bumping , I emailed back and said can I change it , and she's emailed me back saying I will have to post the hoover back to her before she will send a new one out. So I've just replied with , will the postage be covered ?? Usually with items like this I swear they just come and pick it up for you with a courier??

    I would probably just be happy and keep the one I have been sent (I don't mean that in a "Your so greedy" type way) ... just seems like a lot of hassle to me. You also don't want to be "blacklisted" by the promoter for future competitions.

    I'm assuming they're saying that you'll need to pay the postage to return the item ... which isn't really right since it was their error not yours but again it's basically down to you if you want to argue the case with them.
    Just reply and say "That's fine, can you let me know when you like to arrange for a pick up and I will make sure someone is available at home at that time" and see what they say.

    she said she will re-reimburse me the postage , but she did admit there was a mix up and I should of received the other item and asked if I wanted to swap back . But I will have to wait until she receives the hoover they sent me before they will send me the one they should of sent me
