I ended up ordering the Benq BL2410PT 24 inch monitor from Debenhams Plus. For anyone who reads this and is thinking of buying this monitor, the flicker free version is model 9H.L9JLB.RBE
If you order version 9H.L9JLB.QBE from Amazon or Dabs it is not flicker free. The BenQ has very god reviews on many different sites, and is meant to be less harsh on the eyes.
Incidentally, isn't Acer direct just another name for Laptopsdirect? I have read bad reviews about these companies and their returns policy. I avoided them when I bought my desktop last week despite their cheaper price.0
