Help! How do I get a skip removed and traced?

There's not usually a serial number but the skip hire company is required to print the name and contact details on the skip (if it's ever to be used on the road). I'm assuming they have not done that. Inform the council but there is not going to be a lot they can do to help you identify it. Phone around a few skip hire firms to see if anyone owns up to it is all you can do.

If I were the OP, I would do it and stay schtum. The skip was obviously delivered to him in error. They could prove nothing.

That's all well and good providing every neighbour on the street is as blind as a bat, if that's not the case it won't take long for anyone to put two and two together

Where I live, my neighbours couldn't give a tinker's cuss and wouldn't notice even if I dragged a dead body off the drive and left it in the road. It would greatly rile me if my neighbours were curtain twitchers.
