[1] Probably a lot, lot less. £4-something a kilogram. As opposed to this one at £8.75, about £5.99/kg i.e. nearly £6/kg:eek::eek: (assuming the stated weight of 1.46kg is actually what it weighs;):rotfl:). One and a half times:eek: more expensive.

[2] In the light of the above, I disagree:rotfl::rotfl:.

    Hi savvy,

    I disagree with you:o:)

Yes in comparison to what we were paying it isn't brilliant.

However in comparison to what is available at the moment, it is a good price. The only cheaper joint is Smart Price at £5.75 as opposed to this comparison at £5.99:)

    Debt-free and Proud!
I'd love it if everyone could post up pics of their shoe boxes/things they donate before Xmas. It satisfies both my stash and giving itch in one go :D

Does anyone else like to work out how much (or how little) it all cost?

I would have thought that was obvious from the context, referring to a "new app." and then me mentioning "Morrisons app." in other words referring to the new app. as previously mentioned in my post!:D:p:rotfl:

... but you pride yourself on being clear Savvy... referring to "Morrisons app" was a red herring, as it is not the Morrisons app ("new" as in updated 13/10 on iPhone at least), it is the Morrisons Match and More app (launched 5/10 on iPhone :D).

    Only joking with you.

Ok so what other charity does the Christmas shoe boxes collection apart from Samaritans purse - has nationwide collection points etc
Please does someone have a link please?

Doing the boxes I think is the best part of Christmas?

I'll have a look tomorrow mhoc. Sure Google will throw up some alternatives, I just can't do links on my iPad (not very techie!).

I've been doing the forces shoe boxes for years but it's being scaled back this year with the majority of troops leaving afghan. Help for heroes are doing a stocking appeal for troops recovering in Headley court and a few other recovery centres. If you are interested?

    I found this: http://linktohope.co.uk/shoebox-appeal

It seems to be the only shoebox charity I could find which gives with no strings attached and doesn't put religious propaganda in the box.
(If you choose to give, give freely. Don't look at it as a chance to convert people to your religion, and don't spend charity money on churches when people don't have enough to eat or medical care!) Pardon my rant.:o

I'm sure there's a Romanian charity too, but can't find it.

I've gone full circle and am probably back to normal  :rotfl::rotfl:

Today at about 3pm I was so tired I could have sat on the floor and cried :o My OH dozed off on the sofa after dinner tonight and I must've given him such a 'how dare you' look, he sat like a little peg for the rest of the night :D :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

There's nothing like tiredness and stress to rip a family apart......temporarily :o
