If anyone is struggling with a suitable OH Christmas gift/birthday etc and their OH is train obsessed then go via Topcashback and have a look at Groupon.

I noticed a new offer on this morning for
    The Sidings Hotel

This is about 20 mins out of York off the A19 and the bedrooms are old rail carriages and its situated right by the main line. Its £69 for one night with continental breakfast and a 2 course dinner - starter and main. Or £99 for 2 nights - no dinner on the 2nd night - not a problem, masses of good places to eat in York.
This is for mid weeks stays.

York park and ride is very good so you can then take your OH to the rail museum :D

The best bit is that there are no blackout dates and its valid up until November next year so it could solve birthday/wedding anniversary etc problems. So choose some dates, get your Groupon, ring and book - you have to book by th end of January

If you cant get the dates you need then I think groupon give you 7 days to cancel and get your money back.

That would have been one expensive lie-in :eek:

It almost was  there'll be a point where I'll have to pay the top band of treatment, but for now, it's ok.

Very nice, very young Spanish guy. He looks about 12

I've got to go back in a week for a scale and polish. It's an earlier appointment but I'm off work so I can drive :D
