Oh. Just been told by my brother who came over today which I am sure you already all know. Too many posts to look through so apologies in advance.

The TESCO FOOD FAMILY LIVING magazine which has a picture of some scary pears on a chocolate cake (looks something like that) for OCTOBER 2014 has a voucher for £1 off COCA COLA (the new green bottle 1.75l) in it. Apparently, that COCA COLA (green bottle) is 2 for £2 at the moment. So SA willing, if you had 2 vouchers, you could get 2 bottles for free.

    HTH.

Found a womble for £179.10 earlier and the punter had used 12 x £3.10 vouchers in part payment. I Googled the vouchers and found that they are probably Healthy start vouchers given to pregnant women and families with kids under 4 who receive Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Income-related Employment and Support Allowance or Child Tax Credit.

Is it wrong of me to wonder how someone on benefits with young kids can afford to spend so much cash on one shop including alcohol, energy drinks and even nearly a quid on two posh cat pouches!!

And seriously, £8 on in-wash smelly things to make your clothes smell nice?? You still need to put in detergent and softener in your machine and these are just beads that you chuck in the drum.

After getting this womble I am beginning to think that having a full time job is way overrated!!:rotfl:

    2 x Lenor Unstoppables In-Wash Scent Booster Beads Lav... £8.00 £10.00
    1 x Russian Standard Vodka (700ml) £11.00 £17.50
    1 x Foster's (12x440ml) £9.00 N/A
    2 x Monster Energy Drink (4x500ml) £6.00 £6.00
    1 x Monster Absolute Zero Drink (500ml) £1.00 £1.00
    1 x Fairy Non Bio Laundry Gel - 16 Washes (592ml) £3.00 £6.00
    1 x Purina Gourmet Perle Tuna & Shrimps in Gravy - Pou... £0.50 £0.55
1 x Felix As Good as it Looks Tuna in Jelly - Pouch (1... £0.48 N/A

Whether on benefits or their own cash, what people spend their money on is really up to them ... an odd treat now and again is sometimes needed to maintain sanity (could be birthday money or anything).

I am sure some would raise an eyebrow at some of our shops :A. (Do I need Cif Bathroom or Reeds ... Hang on, bad examples, bathroom is super shiny and living room smells lush ;)). Possibly didn't need "a few" though ...

That said, I do sometimes find myself wondering what it would be like shopping like a muggle, just chucking anything into your trolley without a thought for the cost and not even seeing if a different sized pack would work out cheaper instore, even without PP or APG ... I can't bring myself to try though so generally shop alone as my shopping techniques would annoy others. I need only look at members of my own family to see some of this in action and have (almost) given up on trying to get through to them about APG, PP, Cashback and vouchers and smarter shopping.

    Ok so the glitch worked..:D

I got two x 4 packs of tuna instore at £5 each, 2 for £7 and there are no multis showing on mse.

    The apg compares A v M and A v S £10 v £6 returning £4.60 on a £7 spend, so 8 tins of tuna for £2.40 (30p each).

    Here's the receipt..

0.06 x ASDA Carrots by Weight per kg £0.04 £0.04
0.06 x ASDA Parsnips by Weight per kg £0.08 £0.07

    1 x Haribo Maoam Giant Sour Stripes (15g) £0.10 £0.10
    2 x Princes Tuna Chunks in Spring Water (4x160g) £10.00 £6.00
    1 x Swizzels Matlow Strawberry Refresher Bar £0.10 N/A
    1 x Haribo Starmix £0.10 £0.10
    2 x John Frieda Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir (100m... £19.98 £12.00
1 x ASDA Chosen by You Giant White Mice Bar (15g) £0.10 N/A
1 x ASDA Chosen by You Giant Rainbow Buttons Bar (15g) £0.10 N/A

LOL. I used to think those were some kind of Pinecone like vouchers. You know, do some kind of survey and get vouchers to use against shopping. :o:o
