This is classed as a deprived postcode, but it covers very big area. There are some very, very nice people but sadly the gob!!!!!s are what people see in this area. They don't see that when we went out, leaving the front door wide open for a couple of hours, that no one other than the postman went anywhere near it. They don't see the lady who moved my parcel today to make it less obvious that I wasn't home
Even I don't see that sometimes
I agree with this wholeheartedly QOC.
Unfortunately the loudest people are often the most objectionable in my area too. It's easy to forget that with all the publicity 'scroungers' (or at the very least people we imagine are) aren't in the majority. There are so many more kind, quiet, lovely people out there being talked over!
I've witnessed a few random acts of kindness in my area the past couple of days and it has really made me smile.Debt free 6th December 2014

I do like a random act of kindness...I remember posting about one I witnessed and also one I passed on a couple of years ago on one of the other forums ....and got totally slated for it saying that I was self indulgent and it showed an attitude of "me me me"....
personally I still love them...I'm just not in the habit of mentioning them again.
not all acts need to be financial but spreading even a little kindness is sometimes appreciated....and yes even witnessing them can give you that smiley feeling.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

The persil wasn't red on the M comparison, I don't really know what that means though but I think it is relevant.RISEABOVEHATE

I will probably get shot for this, but I agree with the child. :A
If I ever get the bus, all I hear is "Well that Chantelle from down the estate got herself pregnant and now she has a free Council house, so you should do it too" or giving each other tips on how to get more benefits. I must live in a deprived area compared to you.:o:o
How is everyone?
