Samsung Say They Can't Repair My Phone Because I Use A Blackberry AC Adapter?

My Note 2 is still in warranty (less than two years old) but the MicroUSB slot is starting to become flakey. I have official Blackberry USB cables and a Blackberry Playbook charger http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/2-99-blackberry-portable-playbook-international-travel-charger-with-uk-eu-na-aus-1999439 My boyf also has an official Samsung charger (he has an S4 Mini) which I use at times.
Just phoned Samsung and they can't repair it as I'm not using an official Samsung charger, they have logged the call and they can't go any further!
Is there any way I can escalate this?
It's not as though I'm using no-name accessories! I'm well aware of cheap Chinese AC adapters that blow phones up/set them on fire. But, I'm very careful with my phone and it's in great condition.
The girl who took the call was quite young and sung from the Samsung hymn sheet. I said over time my MicroSD card (a 64GB Sandisk Ultra) sometimes comes up as "blank" and she said, "You should only use Samsung MicroSD cards".
Help appreciated!

Is the charger on Samsungs approved list?0

If you could tell me where to find it, I'll look, but I would assume not (I have put a link to the charger in my first post). http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004XKG7NM?*Version*=1&*entries*=0Is the charger on Samsungs approved list?
It charges at 2amp. This Playbook charger:

I would suspect they only approve Samsung chargers.
The one above does look like cheap Chinese tat.0 -
You'd have been better if you hadn't admitted to using a non-Samsung charger. Problem now will be that this statement is probably now recorded on Samsung's system against your device ID, so even if you phoned and got another person they'd probably see this info.

The Blackberry Playbook is Blackberry's now-defunct tablet. The AC Adapter is known for charging MicroUSB devices that bit faster than conventional mobile AC Adapters.I would suspect they only approve Samsung chargers.

It definitely isn't cheap Chinese tat, nor are their USB cables. I'm guessing you haven't heard of it/seen one before. Thanks for the helpful non-reply! But I appreciate the more considerate one from you, bod1467.0 -
Bottom line is the warranty is above your statutory rights and the terms they impose are strict.
Because you used (and were mad enough to tell them) an unofficial product on the tab they can reject any claim you may have had against them.
Your rights are only with the retailer you purchased the item from, but again because you used a different charger this is now logged and the blame will be on you.
Try the retailer but they will just get the same result from Samsung.0 -
Warranty can have any reasonable conditions attached to it that they like since its in addition to your statutory rights.
As above, speak to the retailer. They may require an independent report to state the nature of the fault is not misuse etc before they will offer a remedy though. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

Let me just stop you right there. I understand your advice was free, but even at that price it's too expensive.
Had you simply not bothered to post, that post would constitute better advice than what you actually offered
The legal rights conferred on you based on the Statute laws passed by Parliament are what's know as your Statutory Rights. You cannot be made to give up those rights, whatever they may be. You'll probably be most familiar with The Sales of Goods Act. Any warranty, guarantee that Samsung offer runs alongside SOGA; those rights are in addition to, they do not replace, your statutory rights.
Another example of where you may be familiar with the term, but not what it really means- statutory rights not affected. Put simply
Statutory rights remaining unaffected means, for example, that even if a consumer returns an item as defective, that person doesn't waive the right to sue the company for other damages or injuries resulting from the product..0 -
As she was trying to get a repair under warranty their warranty terms are relevant jumbo jumbo. If she wants aSOGA repair she's gonna need to get a report saying the thing was inhently faulty which after 2 years will be difficult.
Your post is just legal waffle about the soga and doesn't address the issues of the op. We all know the soga we dont need you to tell us it.0 -

Which is exactly the point that bris was making, whose advice you branded worthless.
I doubt that the OP has a valid claim under SOGA, so their only recourse would be the Samsung warranty, which as others have pointed out can apply any reasonable T&C. Unless you can put forward a valid argument for the OP to claim under SOGA, your post has added nothing useful to the discussion.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
