Salvation for aldi parking charges

Just wanted to let people know that there is a way out of Aldi parking charge notices. We got a PCN from Parking Eye after my wife shopped in the store. However she must have entered her details wrong (or forgotten to) on their registration number system.
I spoke to Aldi customer services who say they will cancel tickets if you have one of:
RECEIPT THAT YOU SHOPPED IN THE STORE
BANK STATEMENT SHOWING YOU SHOPPED IN THE STORE.
Aldi have a direct parking department and suggested ignoring Parking Eye communication and dealing with them directly (obviously keeping in mind timescales on the PCN).

Thanks - yes we know you are right. PE do at least cancel when people have shown a receipt of over £30.
But:
- who tells people they can show a receipt to get it cancelled (no-one, it's a PE secret)
- loads of people must think it is a fine and just pay
- what makes a Supermarket think a bullying pariah like PE should be anywhere near their customers?
Getting these cancelled is NOT good customer service - sending fake fines to customers simply is not on in the first place.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And of course what happens at Aldi car parks which have planning permission for people to use them to shop somewhere other than Aldi - i.e. the driver won't have an Aldi receipt ?"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0
