Well that's over 3000 items that have left the house since I've been off :T
Really pleased about that. I'm really noticing the difference in my stuff, not so much in DH'sI was sorting stuff out at the weekend and thinking that I really don't want much at all any more. I just want to get rid of more and more. So some things that I originally kept, I now am probably going to get rid of.
That means I'm getting to the end of the first swoop of stuff and so am going to do another to see what else can go. I've still got loads, so am not bereft of stuff yet!
Then I'll have to focus on the children's stuff and see how we can weed that down.
Little miss is going to be 1 in a couple of weeks  so there will be more stuff coming in and then of course it's Xmas so I need to try and reduce it before that all happens.
We've been to a couple of nearly new sales as well as the car boots the last couple of weekends, and have managed to pick up some nice stuff for them both for birthday and christmas. We got little miss a lovely wooden rocking horse for £15 :T
The jumperoo is being sold next week so that will be something bulky gone.
Lots of sales over the weekend, so lots of packing and posting to do today.
Hope everyone is well"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Oh retired, I am sooo happy for you, huge congratulations!
:j :T :j :T :j :T :j :T :j :T :j :T :j :T :j :T :j :T :j :T :j :T :j :T
That has put a huge smile on my face
Go and post on the debt free roll of honour!
I'm not sure how I've been an inspiration, but I really am chuffed for you. We are all fine thank you, and I hope you will continue to pop in now and again.
What are your plans now?
xxxx
The inspiration is that no matter what you haven't waivered. Two children later you've continually sold stuff, no matter how large or small, to make payments to your debts. Your decluttering list is awesome. I'm waiting for the day when you'll be debt and clutter free. That day will come.
As for future plans I've no idea. Mr Retired is slowly getting worse so the extra money means I can make sure he has the aids he needs. We don't qualify for grants. Holidays are too much like hard work now but tbh it's just a nice feeling that apart from day to day expenses the our money is all ours.
Oh I forgot I've also lost 43.5 lbs :j0 -
Congrats r&s xxx
The jumperoo is going??? That's a brilliant feeling! Phase one complete on to phase two. Keep it up jwil. I think I'm into phase 3 lol. The only problem is I've got to the point where I need new stuff (mainly clothes) and to accept I'm not going to lose a stone so I can't get rid. XxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

I know, I am so excited to see the back of the thing, it's huge! I think there are going to be many phases here, especially as the children get older.
I desperately need new clothes, mine are completely threadbare. DH even commented the other day. I don't want to spend the money though, but I'd better get something to wear to go back to work though!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well it never rains but it pours. DH's job is at risk
We'll find out on Friday whether he survives or not
It's neverending.
In happier news I received a refund from my hermes regarding a damaged parcel.
A couple more sales overnight so some more to go today.
Happy days!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Oh gawd. So sorry jwil. Let me know if anything can do.
