Hi all
So sorry to hear about Pink.
Didn't get time to post this morning, I went to work for an hour & then came home to take hubby for his surgery, it was supposed to take 40 minutes & ended up taking 2 hours. I was ok, I was sat next to Eddie Izzard, no not the Eddie Izzard, a 94 year old gentleman who was very interested in my Kindle, I passed the time showing him how it worked. He'd had a stroke, heart attack, cataract surgery & a broken shoulder in the last 10 months.
We have to go back tomorrow, I've got to learn how to dress his toes, at the moment he looks like he's in a cartoon, such huge dressings.
Have a good evening everyone.

Just doing an evening read and was thrilled to see the return of more oldies. Lovely.
Tru - you'll soon be fluent in all things to do with the job even if it's a tad overwhelming just now.
This morning I opened the bedroom window wide and was about to walk away when a black blob caught my eye...right in the bottom corner of the window, on the outside, was a mass of flies. Some dead, most dying. Yeugh. Horrid looking. They still must be trying to find warmth, well they're not finding it here. Shut the window smart'ish.
Day turned out glorious again I went out up to Oban and was boiling hot in my thermals. Typical! I had to go to Tescos' loo and remove them. Mind you the loos are currently cabins in the car park so I was immediately cold again until I reached my car.

Still grey and damp here, so the washing is starting to pile up.
It is supposed to be getting warmer by the end of the week so I will catch up with it all then.
DH took me and DD over to Dobbies in Bletchley this morning and they have got their Christmas stuff on display already:eek: Luckily I have got most of everything for Christmas so I will not be tempted, half price sales in January though............maybe:D
We bought a ballerina apple tree for the patio in the half price sale that they have on, I really wish that we had a bigger garden, but we already have bramley, braeburn, gala, pear and cherry trees not to mention the blackcurrant, loganberries, blueberries, strawberries, goosegogs and 3 rhubarb plants, our neighbour has plums, we are always swapping stuff over the fence So no worries about fruit
I have left the Brussels, turnips, swede and parsnips and potatoes alone for later in the year but we have started to use the kale and spinach, I still have lettuce growing away quite happily outside, which is unusual.
Dinner was a nice warming sausage stew using lincolnshire sausages, my it was tasty and as DH has gone swimming it will be reheated for him when he gets home. I still have some left so that will go into the freezer for a pie next week.
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
