Morning all.
Must have rained all night I think and it is a really miserable morning. Himself has just gone out for a paper and I am not going out at all today.
Have put some slices of braising steak in the slow cooker with vegetables and will have that tonight with mashed potatoes and have just made a rhubarb crumble, so not a lot of cooking tonight and the kitchen will be nice and warm.
LYN how is He Who Knows, I think you said at the weekend he was a bit under the weather? We are both still coughing like good uns, but improving slowly.
JUDI hope DD is OK
Hugs to all who would like one, but stay warm and safe
Much love

Good Morning everyone, not raining here today but the air is very damp although it's not at all cold. Washing will go up in the utility room though as I don't think there is any chance of it drying outside today.
CANDLELIGHT He Who Knows is off playing at laying a concrete base for a neighbour to put up a new summerhouse and they've only got the hired cement mixer for today. Good job it's dryish. He Who Knows is fine, whatever his sniffles and aches were on Sunday they didn't materialise into anything so he's business as usual. Hope you and your DH are feeling better now.
Houseworking today and washing the floors although it hardly seems worth it with all the wet weather and a lurcha who is a mud magnet. Still, at least it looks nice for the first half hour. I've soaked up some green split peas overnight and I'm going to make Winter Pea Soup for lunch and the next couple of days, nice comfort food and very appropriate for this time of year.
Have a good day everyone, Lyn xxx.0 -
Morning all,
Hope everyone is well today:)
Judi - Lacy tights???
Another one here who can't wait for the 'nice' weather that is supposed to be heading our way.
Big towels washed and on the airer and small ones in the TD.
Had a lovely walk this morning with my friend along the river. Read in the local paper that apparently the car park we use is a good Dogging site. We did have a good laugh at that as its usually full of dog walkers, cyclists and slightly older ladies out for a walk!!!
DS2 is off for a driving lesson shortly. He needs to appear less confident in order for his instructor to put him in for his test.

Afternoon :hello:
Nice to see you Dazi
Just finished my first day at work. Well, half day. I need a week off :rotfl: :rotfl: There's so much to take in. I took a notebook with me and I'm glad I did, it's about a quarter filled with scribbled notesI'll go through it in a mo and put it into some sort of order. I was supposed to be doing two mornings a week, before I started they asked me if I'd do three. When I got there, they asked me to do an extra day this week - so four.
I had plans for this afternoon but I'm going to just flop on the sofa :rotfl:

Cat is looking at me, think he wants more dinner!

Noah has settled at his autism school which is a relief.
Asher is now 18 months and into everything!
Now sleeping better due to Toddlercalm system.
My yoga has been halted as I tore my cruciate ligament...just easing back into it now.
DH is very poorly at the moment with gastro problems...had an OGD which was negative so now having bloods done for coeliac and crohns. Review by consultant urgently next week.
He's in horrendous pain so I'm hoping we get to the answer soon. I spoke to GP this morning and asked him to prescribe some buscopan so hopefully that will ease a bit of pain.
He's very poorly so any prayers or blessings welcome :A
House tidied through and have made 2 cheese and tomato tarts with Asher helping ...will have one for tea and one for freezer.
In other news Fatcat got fleas from a mangy outdoor cat so between usDH and I have steamed every inch of the home and sprayed with Indorex and it seems to be working ...was most unpleasant
Judi...have you tried New Look or an online place called tights please?
Hope everyone is well, hugs to those in need.0 -
NPM how lovely to "see" you. :T
The site was targetted by an evil spammer yesterday, hence all the !!! everywhere.
I'm pleased that Noah has settled at school - and that you've finally got him into the correct type of school for his needs.:o
Healing vibes for your poor DH - it sounds horrid for him.:(
I've used T!ghts Ple@se in the past, I got my legwarmers from them. I don't wear nylons of any sort (can't stand 'em on my legs and especially my feet *shudders*) but need the legwarmers for dogwalking on cold days.;) I seem to remember them being reasonably priced and quick delivery.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Judi...have you tried New Look or an online place called tights please?
I'll check out New Look the weekend and i'll do a search for tights please.
My daughter overseas is no better but no worse either she says. She's tired though.
My eldest son is about to be made homeless. The block of flats he lives in has been sold and the new owners have plans for the building. Its not going to be easy finding somewhere that will take a dog (even a well behaved dog).
As for the cheaper Broadband....it would help if I knew what we had got already.
Spag bol for tea tonight. Me and 'Youngest' love it but we rarely have it when hubby is at home because he wont touch it so we feast on it when he's away. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
