If you want an easy read classic try Treasure Island, it may lead you gently back! Probably get it free for Kindle.
Dickens is hard work! Don't think I'll read any more of his.
Will possibly have another go at Tom Browns Schooldays to pass a few dark evenings.

I recently read "Treasure Island" and found it hard work, I feel I'm missing out on classic literary.

Why worry, read what you enjoy! Although I like to dip into the classics, they would be a very small part of my reading.

NI libraries have quite a few of his as ebooks if you want to read a few for free.

I don't like ebooks tbh. I love having a proper book. I'm a great believer of charity shop books and even second hand book shops When I have a clear out I try the second hand places, see what they will take and then donate the rest back to the charity shops

However I have to admit I don't often like clearing the bookshelves

Just completed "The Associate," typically gripping and exciting book by Grisham. Spoiler Alert - Although the ending was very realistic it was also very disappointing after being put through the motions for 500 pages we never learn who the villians were and what happened to them.
