Of late I've read the back catalogue of Jo Nesbo

Every one of them have been totally gripping. Harry Hole is a great character

I couldn't get through it, even got it as an audio book and didn't finish it. I've a liking for Thomas Hardy, not to everyone's taste! Stephen King is popular, some I liked, some not so. For any readers interested in Lisburn's past, I thoroughly recommend 'The Burnings, 1920' by Pearse Lawlor. Superb.

Good feedback, I tried "Great Expectations" but did not enjoy it in the slightest and stopped half was through. I am currently reading "The Associate" but I want to read a classic after this and am currently open to recommendations.

I've started one of his and so far so good, I will look into further books of his after this one.

I have done the entire catalog of Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels, these are brilliant IMHO, somewhat spoiled by the film and the casting of Tom Cruise who in no way can pass off as a 6ft 7in ex military man :o
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

NI libraries have quite a few of his as ebooks if you want to read a few for free.

    Nicely censored, moderators.

I like Thomas hardy. Great stories, if a bit sad.

Read "cry the beloved country" recently. Brilliant.
“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare

If you want an easy read classic try Treasure Island, it may lead you gently back! Probably get it free for Kindle.
Dickens is hard work! Don't think I'll read any more of his.
Will possibly have another go at Tom Browns Schooldays to pass a few dark evenings.
