Can sanctioned esa be backdated or not?? Getting told 2 different things0

If it has been accepted you had 'good cause' for not attending the WFI - then your sanction is removed, and any money not paid will be backdated.0

You should in several days get a note saying your good cause has been accepted, and that you will be being repaid the money.
The persons opinion that you should be in the support group is not very relevant - unless you actually make an appeal for this.0 -
Actually what I wrote in #2 is not the full picture it should read
If good cause has been given yes you will get 100% arrears,
If the sanction has just been lifted without good cause then it depends on what sort of sanction it was,........- If it is a 1 week (or 2week 3week 4week) fixed sanction upon recompliance, then if you have been waiting on the sanction reduced pay rate for a recompliance appointment longer than the sanction period (i.e. 1 week etc) then when you do recomply and the sanction is lifted you will get arrears paid except for the 1 week that was the sanction period.
- If it is an open ended sanction until recompliance then you will only get arrears back to the date of compliance
I am not sure of the rules on how the LMDMs determine whether to apply a fixed or an open ended sanction.0
