Flooding

Options
I'm really surprised that there haven't been any threads about flooding. A friend of mine in Oxfordshire is currently in a shelter, and seemed to be in shock during our short conversation. I wish I could go to see and / or help, but apart from the logistics of getting there, we might have our own problems soon.

I've also been watching the news, and it's just mind-boggling to think of so many thousands of people living in 'refugee camps', trying to continue a normal life, with kids, jobs, pets etc etc.

This whole thing is just horrifying. Obviously the people still posting on here haven't been affected yet as we all still have internet access, but the boards definitely seem to have slowed a bit in the last couple of weeks, which makes you wonder how many regular posters have houses submerged. (I don't post much but I look on here often).

I really hope that all of your homes are missed by the floods, and that those who have already been flooded manage well over the next few months.

Good luck all.

There's a thread on the Investment forum about money making opportunities as a result of the floods and more money going into prevention.

Weirdly, around the same time as you posted this yesterday, I was on the insurance board thinking people are going to be having major problems for ages after the water has subsided. So gave it a mention to the powers that be, and here you are, a board to help out with the floods icon12.gif
