    Oh, wasn't the man with the hair on Magpie just to die for (you can claim the fifth amendment if you really must)? He once read out a letter from me on air. I still come over all funny at the thought of it. It was in 1969 and not a lot of things more exciting than that have happened to me since. What was his name again?
    How sweet it is to do nothing..... and then rest afterwards.

    Jenny Hanley? She was in dictionary corner they day I was on Countdown. We got slaughtered together at Yorkshire Television's expense afterwards and she told me I ought to put mayonnaise on my hair. I haven't tried it yet.

    Yes, it was Mick something. He looked very atrqactive - to a 1960s teenager.

    I'm afraid I still remember DIY programmes by Barry Bucknell (but only when I was allowed to stay up after my bedtime)
