Really struggling deciding on T-Mobile/Vodafone cashback
Hi,
I'm having a real tough time deciding which deal to go for, for my next mobile contract and I have until Monday morning to decide. My heart and mind are conflicted between want and risk, let me explain.
I've been set on going with T-Mobile for their data package for a while now, and found this which would suit:
http://www.themobileoutlet.co.uk/handset.asp?txtMode=3&txtNetwork=4&txtTariff=147&txtHandset=307
However the big thread on The Mobile Outlet and the problems people have had have got me worried.
the main reason I want to go with T-Mobile is for their data package. The ability to check my e-mail and do essential web browsing, plus watch news, etc I feel would liberate me from my laptop and generally improve my quality of life by both giving me a means of staying in touch with the world but not having to be shut inside all the time.
the 'obvious' solution to this problem of getting the contract without going through The Mobile Outlet wuld be to get the standard Flext tariff and add the Web 'n Walk as a bolt-on. I could afford £7.50 per month, and if I needed it I could go to the next level up. the only problem is I can anticipate this causing fluctuating bills with some months of Web access and some not, which might affect the validity of cashback claims (I'm not clear on a) whether the Web 'n Walk is viewed as a bolt-on or tariff and b) if adding and removing this as needed would affect the basic cashback claim for the Flext tariff.
the other option is to go with Vodafone, which has a number of cashback deals through different (and less volatile) providers, but their £7.50 only gives 120Mb a month and I can invisage going over this.
I just can't make up my mind, been going back and forth on this all weekend. It all boils down to whether The Mobile Outlet is worth the risk, and if not, the issue of whether I could add the bolt-on with T-Mobile directly and not have it affect the cashback claim with someone else.
Advice please?
