The Miah Solicitors

Hi I received a parking fine on my windows from UKCPS back in November 2012.
I searched the sites and was advised to ignore the letters and threats that were due to come my way!
These letters finally stopped in January 2013 when I was threatened with a letter from "court proceedings limited London".
I still ignored this and have heard nothing from the since. Until Yesterday when I get a letter from "the Miah Solicitors" saying that I have to pay £275 within 14 days.
Google searches have directed me to a parking fine help website saying that they can help if I fill in forms , as they see that this company is a fraud.
Now on here I see that I maybe should have not ignored it? Im so confused, when I originally looked I was directed to ignore now maybe not?
They have left me alone for over a year, nearly 2 and now are harassing?
What should I do??
Many thanks in advance

Parking Ticket Appeals are indeed helping a lot of people every week with Miah Solicitors0

Is it going to cost me money? Ive read that some people have been asked to pay for their services for various companies>0

If you wanted them to do it then it would cost you £16. Parking Ticket Appeals are a business.0

IS it worth ignoring this letter as the fine has left me alone for over a year nearly 2 years?0

Please do not ignore, UKCPS can and do do court. Any yes parking ticket appeals can help. However before you make any decisions, please visit the newbie thread (see my signature) and have a thorough read of that first.
Many people do fight these at a much later stage.
Do a forum search for Miah and read the many threads on here that have been posted in the last couple of months, you will see lots of advice that has been given repeatedly on how to deal with them.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0 -

Whatever this company will do for £16, you can do yourself for free, with the help of this forum, other than your time and effort.0 -

I would agree up to a point on this. However no one on this forum would guarantee any result (although that isnt an issue for many parking companies)
This forum and the other 2 have no answer to IPC tickets (other that recent move overs to the IPC, and where there is a sure fire winner)
It should also be said that how many people will actually get their hands dirty? and actually get more involved rather then just sitting in front of a keyboard.
This is in no way knocking people who spend hours giving free advice and their valuable time, but its very easy to give advice and not actually "get up close and personal" so to speak.0 -
emsievk83 You have two threads running and this is causing confusion. I suggest you read what has been put on your other thread but then stick to this one. Hopefully Crabman will combine the threads and sort this out.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

I think it is quite simple. If you are good at reading around the issues from scratch and you are confident you can get the paperwork correct - then by all means do it yourself - it truly isn't all that difficult - just a little time consuming at first.
Alternatively see what Parking Appeals will charge you and work that out as a percentage of your time and see how much it is an hour.
I suspect you will find it less expensive to pay.
Unless like me you have time on your hands :-)0
