Mitsubishi Colt 2005

hello

I bought a Mitsubishi Colt 2005 and I am not satisfied at all with the driving experience.

The steering wheel is very heavy (I almost thought it's not electric) and you have to turn it alot in order the actual car to start to turn.

I suppose there isn't anything I can do about it, it's how the car was designed. I read many reviews before I buy, but they failed to warn me about this major disadvantage. (Maybe it's my fault, since I am used to Audi's and I have excessive expectations?)

Any advice please? Also, any recommendation for a car that doesn't have these problems? And any other problems of course. A car of the same category.

Thanks

Probably a good idea to drive one before buying.

I did! But it's more apparent when in motorway!

Why would you need to turn the steering wheel more than a couple of degrees when ON a motorway?

The faster you go the heavier the steering becomes?

it's the feeling that the steering wheel is not very responsive in terms of manuevreing the car!

it's always heavy, but I would say it's more heavy in slow speeds

    What tyres do you have?
    Checked tyre pressures?
    Is the suspension worn?
Is this the automatic diesel, how is the mpg working out?

So, would have been apparent during test drive, and is not in any way shape or form more apparent when 'in motorway'.

EOTD, you bought a car, now you don't like it. Ever heard of 'buyer's remorse'?

I don't like it. I want to sell it. But what else could I buy? Anything with a decent driving behaviour?

Have you tried a power steering fluid change, it makes a huge difference
