Mortgage broker just been on to me, underwriter has the case and has queried a few things,
Provided information back to broker and hopefully we'll hear something further soon.

Loving Natwest.. They had a cancellation for someone else's survey so did mine this morning!
  • We had our valuation/survey Monday and broker says we should receive formal offer tomorrow or Monday. Fingers crossed for those waiting.
  • We are still waiting, valuation done Tuesday 7th, the surveyor kept it until Friday 10th but apparently Natwest didnt get it until Tuesday 14th and now apparently they have a backlog! We were promised it will be today.

Come on underwriters at Natwest, we are here waiting!
  • Mine took just short of 6 weeks. When a query was raised I provided the details straight away and wasn't for another 3-4 days I heard back via my broker of another query so yes I believe it goes to the bottom of the pile.

The valuation is normally done last after all underwriting so when you see the payment come out of your account its a good sign. My property was just being finished and it says on valuation the valuer went into sales office and copied measurements from the plans..... £170 valuation and £70 admin charge..... im in wrong job !!!

    Bear in there...... good luck

Just heard from broker Dave Ham that mortgage has been approved by underwriter subject to valuation.
Not bad to say that he submitted the app on Monday, came back yesterday with some queries and approved just after lunch today.

Property valuation shouldn't be an issue.

Most impressed with broker and Nat West!
