ANPR LTD Parking ticket for parking in a permit car park

Hi all, would be great to get some feedback about a parking ticket I received from ANPR LTD.
I parked in a car park I regularly used to park in, even though it did say permit only it was always empty so I parked anyway. I got a ticket for £100, £50 if I pay by the 13th.
Seeing as though there is a sign saying they can fine if you do not display a permit, do I have to pay this? I have looked at a website called parkingticketappeals.org that say they can do all the appeals for me for £16, is this a website people have used?
I really don't want to give these people any of my money as I am also a student, so thanks a lot for your help!

Hi HPH, welcome to the forums.
Your query would be better placed on

As above, this thread is better served on the Parking forum.
PTAS was setup by a couple of the regulars here at MSE - perfectly safe to use. However the NEWBIES guide in the Parking forum (see my sig) tells you how to tackle this yourself.0 -

Just out of curiosity, what are you studying?0 -
Sorry for the no reply for a while, was seeing how this was gonna play out!
I received a PCN on the 30/09/2014, and followed the advice to wait until the NTK. This arrrived late, on the 26/11/2014 - 59 days. I sent an appeal letter taken largely from threads and Parking Cowboys on the 05/12/2014.
I have now received a letter from the (fictitious?) N. Martin, claiming that I have lost the right to appeal to POPLA as
'the date of the incident (DOI) and the date of your complaint (DOC) is now greater than 29 days which under Schedule 4 of the POFA 2012 now renders the registered keeper of the vehicle liable for the drivers actions. I must also explain that you have also lost the right to appeal to the Parking on Private Land Appeals Service
(POPLA)'.
I am not sure how to respond to this, although I am sure that is not the case? I am under the impression that after receiving the NTK I have 28 days to appeal (which I did), and then they must send me a POPLA code.
Any thoughts on this?
Thank you!0 -
As above this will get more precise replays in the correct forum...this is for consumer issues..
Try the Parking tickets and fines board.....a sub forum on the motoring board.0 -
So I should just start a new thread on there?0
