You can overwinter in order to take cuttings for new plants in March. I've never tried this though.0

I hope you have picked them by now to ripen indoors. Tomatoes left on the plants at this time of year often develop late season blight, go black and rot but you may be lucky. Ripen them on trays on a window ledge and put them on newspaper which will absorb any nasty liquid that an unsuspected rotting tomato may allow to seep out0
