Item Not Received Scenario

I've been in this situation just recently as a buyer, within about two weeks 4 of the 6 items I bought didn't turn up, obviously something amiss at a sorting office somewhere but I am sure anyone looking at my feedback would think I was up to something!I also have things gone missing in quick succession. I always remember an email from someone accusing me of trying to get items for free. It was very hurtful especially as I buy items in good faith and also have to disappoint the person I bought it for too.
Out of interest, did Ebay contact you or place any kind of restrictions when this happened?0 -
I checked her feedback and there were quite a few items not received so I sent her a message back saying 'no problem - you will need to open a case in Ebay. You seem to have a rather high rate of items going missing, might be worth contacting Royal Mail'
Not heard back from her since...

Thanks SOOLIN and everyone else for your advice.
I should have asked her to open a dispute first but I will remember that for next time now.
Apologies if anyone was trying to say I am accusing all buyers who claim non receipt to be scammers. The scenario was just made up and I was just wondering if RM/eBay did anything to stop buyers continuously claiming non receipt.
Many thanks for your responses.0 -

The problem is the seller claims - so its actually sellers who start looking iffy not the buyers. Although Royal Mail do then have the buyers address and you would think they would notice a pattern.
I use Signed for more times than not - but even for those who don't - if your a small seller just have a glance as their feedback before deciding. Sometimes their is a clue - especially feedback left for others. Just today i added signed for to an item i was sending standard.
And with Hermes charging less than £3 for a fully tracked service - you dont always have to pay extra for the recorded part.
Maybe i am more suspicious because i have parcels delivered EVERY DAY - and i've NEVER had one go missing in over 25 years. So the idea that Royal Mail are losing them here, there and every where does not sit that well with me. But maybe i'm in a 'good' area with more honest staff.0
